John Medina
President and Chief Executive Officer
John Medina joined First Federal Bank as Chief Banking Officer in 2018 before assuming his current role as President & Chief Executive Officer, where he leads the bank’s overall strategy, growth, and operations. Originally from the Dominican Republic, John built a diverse career at First Union National Bank/Wachovia Bank, serving in roles including Commercial Banker, Private Banker, Corporate HR Trainer, Financial Consultant Leader, and Area President and Community Banking Executive. Community service has remained central to his career; he has served in numerous governance and advisory roles across nonprofit, educational, faith-based, and economic development organizations throughout North Florida. He is also an active member of Rotary International and served as District Governor for District 6940 in 2018–2019.
